The modern interiors brand designed the King’s Road hangout to redefine design ideas and recreate the concept of a conventional retail space through a series of store surprises. These include a vinyl corner, a creative workshop space, and an abundance of cappuccinos and cake from their coffee shop. Because when interior design trends and espresso shots collaborate, it’s a partnership made in heaven. Alongside their furniture showroom, the Soho Home (opens in new tab) studio offers space for customers to link up with experts to discuss interior design tips and order custom-made furniture – to ensure the pieces are perfect for your scheme. While the building may overlook the Saatchi Gallery, the studio has its own rotating collections, created by Soho House members, that rival that of its fashionable neighbor. The space will exhibit work from both established and up-and-coming creatives – including ceramicist Marta Bonilla (opens in new tab), designers Chi Atanga (opens in new tab), Henry Holland (opens in new tab), and florist Milli Proust (opens in new tab). Spanning over two floors, Chelsea’s most desirable new destination will coincide its opening with the launch of their new season collection, which drops on September 13th. Soho Home designed the series as a celebration of the cities where there are currently Houses – and where more Soho Houses are set to open. There are particularly notable references to Soho House Hong Kong – and the upcoming Roman house in the Italian capital. However, if you can’t wait until the 13th, Soho Home’s latest collections are equally as lust-worthy – and this bobbin-style table lamp (opens in new tab) is one of our favorite trendsetters. ‘This is set to become a destination not just for our new homeware collections, but an interactive gallery space drawing on the best of the Soho House concept for customers to eat, drink and discover,’ explains Soho House’s Retail Managing Director, Aalish Yorke-Long. ‘We will provide emerging entrepreneurs and creatives a platform to launch a project, product, or idea via our Soho Chance initiative. People will be able to see these exclusive designs alongside our wider collections as part of the ongoing creative partnership we have built with our membership,’ she adds. Plus, beyond the studio’s inspiring interiors, the exterior space is similarly shaping our garden ideas – as the courtyard showcases the designs of floral extraordinaire Milli Proust. She curated the blooms for their scents and their attraction to bees – in an ever so stylish nod to the environment. Naturally, we can’t wait to visit.
