The contemporary-style bungalow, which easily qualifies as one of the world’s best homes, is not entirely new to the market. The Carnival Row actor previously listed the estate for sale in 2019 for just under $9 million, shortly after his engagement to singer Katy Perry. The English-born actor chose to list with Eric DeAngelis of the Oppenheim Group – the famed real estate agency from Netflix’s Selling Sunset. According to Mansion Global (opens in new tab), Orlando Bloom made his mark on the 4,000-square-foot home during his ownership. He opened up the kitchen, designed a bar area, and created a new closet space in the main bedroom suite. The actor also accentuated its architectural assets – refining the wood inside the home. The bungalow makes the translon between indoor and outdoor spaces seamless – from the large glass doors (present in every room) to the lightly hued-wooden flooring similar to the poolside. The zero-edge pool that sits in the center of the estate is perhaps the pièce de résistance of the property. The impressive feature took over a year to build and cost over a half-million dollars alone. Beyond the chic exterior and decorating ideas, the property boasts views across Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean. Orlando completed the renovation only a ‘couple of weeks’ before he first listed the home for sale. However, listing agent Jason Oppenheim shared with Mansion Global that the actors ‘personal circumstances changed right as he finished.’ In March 2019 (the same month Orlando first listed the home), Katy Perry also sold two neighboring properties in the Hollywood Hills to Michael Chow – a British Chinese restaurateur, interior designer, and artist.
Where does Orlando Bloom live currently?
Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry reportedly reside in a $14.2 million mansion in Montecito that boasts manicured grounds and another swimming pool. They join the likes of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Ellen DeGeneres, and Ariana Grande who call the Santa Barbara town their home.
